C & W Partners commenced operations 1st July 2007 and is a merger of the former Cummins & Wallace and CM Corderoy.
Cummins & Wallace always operated in Moree, being the first accountancy practice to be established in the town. For the first 25 years of operation it was the only firm in Moree. Before the 2nd World War it had branches in Walgett, Narrabri and Goondiwindi, with 60 personnel. These branches were either sold or closed as a result of the War.
The initial two Moree premises were rented and the current premises are owned by members of the new partnership. Operations commenced at 30 Heber Street in 1921 then moved to 33 Heber Street in 1930. In July 1997 the firm moved to Bridge Street.
CM Corderoy commenced operations in 2001 after purchasing a local firm and operated out of premises in Auburn Street, Moree.
The merger happened after twelve months of discussions and planning. The major driver for the merger was to achieve greater efficiencies in the areas of staffing and information technology but also to allow for future expansion and succession.
