Mark Johnson commenced as partner of the firm in 1994 and is the firm’s managing partner.
He completed his accounting degree through University of New England and his professional
year whilst working at the firm and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1994.
Mark with wife Helen has three children, Jack, Ellie & Maisie.

Beyond the firm Mark continues to enjoy his rugby with the mighty Feeble Broken Pizzles and is a
keen “social” touch footballer, and remains a loyal supporter of the
mighty South Sydney Rabbitohs. 

Mark’s client focus is Business Services, Taxation and Succession Planning.

Cathy joined the merged firm this year after operating her own practice for 6 years.
Cathy also completed her degree through U.N.E.

Cathy has worked for accounting firms in the Darling Downs and New England and
also had a number of years as the CFO for a machinery dealership.

Cathy qualified as a chartered accountant in 1987.

Cathy has travelled extensively and enjoys art and pottery outside of Bridge Street.

Chris joined the firm as a partner in 2005 after completing his accounting degree also with U.N.E.
Chris qualified as a chartered accountant in 2003. Chris’ client focus is business services, taxation and audit.

Chris has been a keen footballer for most of his life spending time early in his career with the Sydney Roosters
and also being a member of the mighty Weebolla Bulls unbeaten 78 game winning streak.

Chris and his wife Fiona enjoy their role as parents to their daughter Clare.

Michael Picone has become a salary partner to the firm this financial year.
In 2011 Michael become an equity partner in C & W Partners, upon John Humphreys’ retirement.
Michael has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Newcastle and in
January 2006 he became a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Michael’s vision for the future of C & W Partners is to continue to build on the range of services
we offer to our clients and see the firm grow throughout Northern NSW.

Michael is a zealous sportsman, actively involved in Touch Football, Tennis, Cricket, & Running.
Michael and his wife Kelly are keen travellers and spent 12 months on a working holiday in the UK and Europe in 2007.

Trent Humphreys, Financial Advisor
Partner

Trent began his career with Cummins and Wallace in 1993 on a cadetship after school.
After completing a Bachelor of Financial Administration in 1997 he returned full time to Cummins & Wallace
where he was in accounting and became heavily involved in superannuation until he was urged by the partners of Cummins & Wallace to establish a financial advisory side of the business.

Since then Trent has completed his Diploma of Financial Planning, he is a certified Financial Planner, the highest designation available in Financial Planning and is a Self Managed Superfund Specialist.

As a qualified Financial Adviser and Authorised Representative of Henderson Matusch Financial Services, he is committed and eager to provide you with the highest level of service in a professional manner.

Gay had been with the former Cummins and Wallace for several years and was the obvious choice to be the Practice Manager of the merged firm.

Gay has extensive IT knowledge, specialising in Phoenix and MYOB software applications and is also responsible for our internal practice software.

Gay with husband Danny has two grown up children, Todd a farm manager and Lauren a registered nurse.
Gay has five grandchildren whom she dearly enjoys having come stay with her.

Gay is passionate about gardening, she is an active member of the Moree Garden Club, and also enjoys travelling to enjoy other peoples garden creations.
